BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Union men's track & field's John Luther was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference's men's field athlete of the week the league announced on Monday. This marks the third time on the outdoor season that Luther has earned the award.

GORHAM, Maine Sophomore Sean Hughes (Old Saybrook, Conn.) ran his fastest 8K of the season in leading Salve Regina to a 31st place finish in the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship on Saturday. Hughes finished at 26:38.77 and placed inside the top 100 in the field of 366 runners.
